The objectives of FLaReNet have strong impact on the structure of the bodies of the Network, where major representatives of schools, applications, systems, etc. are represented.

It is important to highlight the relation between the structure of the Work Plan and the structure of the Network, and the equivalence between Working Groups and Work Packages (a more detailed description of the overall FLaReNet structure is provided in the Network Organisation section).

We propose to reuse and adapt the well consolidated EAGLES and ISLE structures, for which we had proof of good results and of a big impact in the community.

The following organisation will be adopted for FLaReNet.

The Working Groups (WGs), corresponding to the topical Work Packages (WPs) described in the Work Plan, will work on specific areas related to LRs towards the formulation of consensual recommendations for the different topics/lines of activity.

Broad participation of different key-figures and experts in the WGs will ensure that recommendations are formulated through a consensual bottom-up process in which the relevant scientific, technical, organisational, strategic aspects and positions are taken into account.

Participation of industrial members in the WGs is essential to ensure industrial needs and expectations are met. The activities and outcomes of WGs will be supervised by a Steering Committee, which will monitor the overall technical and scientific coherence of the activities and results of the Network.

For each area of interest there is a specific WP in the Work Plan and programmes of work are proposed (from WP2 to WP6) in such a way that each one can progress at its own rate, in line with its objectives within it sphere of interest and the nature of its detailed plan.

WP7 and WP8, instead, will take the outcomes of the discussions of previous WPs and build upon them towards the formulation of a roadmap and blueprint for future actions that includes all different dimensions and perspectives.

Finally, WP1 will be in charge of the overall scientific and organisational management of the project, of the coordination of the activities of the different WGs taking care in particular of interrelations among them, of the Steering Committee and International Board meetings, of general maintenance and dissemination aspects, of relations with other projects (e.g. CLARIN) and external bodies.
